Opened in 2013, The Tartan Fox is a ladies clothing and footwear boutique inspired by a love for fashion, shoes, design and individual style. We aim to provide you with a boutique shopping experience by offering a unique collection of affordable fashion pieces through the mix of Australian and International brands we carry. The store specialises in modern wardrobe staples and footwear designed by progressive, independent fashion brands. We love and appreciate both classically cut and on-trend garments so we give our customers the best of both worlds!

We are based in Bright, Australia and all our orders are shipped from our Bright store.

Get to know Angela.

The Tartan Fox’s proprietor Angela has a superb eye for colour and style that influences the aesthetic of her boutique. Angela’s focus is working with designers that use natural fibres and materials in creating their innovative designs. 

Angela’s love of fashion started at a young age, using her school books as her sketchbook, she later studied Fashion and Textiles at the Western Australian School of Art and Design, heavily focusing on knitwear. Working in retail from a young age for stores such as Sportsgirl and David Jones, Angela was noticed for her extraordinary customer service, eye for detail and merchandising skills. She was soon offered her first position in the shoe industry and went on to manage stores such as Florsheim, Shoe Biz and Mollini. From there back into Men’s fashion again as a manager at GANT before deciding to take the leap and move to Canada and join the ski industry. This was followed by a stint back in Scotland working for United Colors of Benetton then back to Australia into Menswear again before returning to the ski industry this time in Australia. After 5 years at Mount Hotham it was time to do her own thing and The Tartan Fox was born. The Tartan Fox has been part of the Bright landscape for over 10 years. The influence of this experience is reflected in the curation of labels and brands stocked in the store, a unique take on fashion and footwear and consumer experience.
